SO2 removal rate      Hydrated lime capture of SO2 is maximized at ~2100 degrees
Fahrenheit and 1000 degrees Fahrenheit.  Higher moisture
levels in flue gas will benefit SO2 removal.  

Furnace sorbent injection can be a good option for SO2 control
at the 50-80% level.  Humidification can significantly improve SO2 
removal rates.

For circulating dry scrubbers, purchased hydrate is a great option
for consideration, with high level removal rates at good 
stoichiometry.

Regulations Control of SO2 with hydrated lime can allow a Utility flexibility
to meet expected CSPAR requirements.  Use of hydrated lime
should not affect ash sales.

Additional Benefits Industrial applications using a baghouse can use hydrated lime
for SO2 control.
